In January 2017, we left Gainesville, Florida to embark upon an exciting expat adventure in Finland. We had always been anxious to try out the expat life and when the perfect temporary opportunity presented itself we jumped on it.
Life in Finland was fun, but it did have a few drawbacks – 6 hours of daylight in the winter is not easy for Floridians, the temperature was lower than we’d ever experienced, and the language is nearly impossible to learn.
Despite the minor difficulties, we learned a LOT, made amazing friends, and got to travel to several other European countries while there.
We’ve now moved back to the US to start the next phase of our lives as full-time RVers! We are now on the road full time, enjoying the camping life and the opportunities a motorhome affords – we can change our view every weekend if we want for just a little investment. No more expensive hotels, resort fees, flights, etc.
